We are pleased to offer this Gorgeous Antique English Carlton desk , from the 1880s.
Marked Howard & Sons Manufacturers 25, 26, 27, Berners St LONDON, W.
This desk is made of Mahogany wood & banded Walnut , features a high curved back decorated with bronze gallery , and arrangement of six drawers and one door in-between with original key.
Flanked by two concave-shaped cupboards and down-swept lidded compartment above a short drawer on each end.
Original leather top writing surface, the center part is adjustable a bracket in the back is used to change the angle.
The bottom section has three dovetailed drawers, all drawers are with original handles, drawers are clean and it all slides in and out smoothly.
Supported by four sturdy tapered legs connected with a bottom shelf decorated with bronze gallery and ending on casters.
This desk is completely restored ( Refinished hand French polish ) , very sturdy and in great condition.
