2023 "BREMEN" Transatlantic Flight - 95th Anniversary of the 1928 Direct Flight from Ireland to Canada.  The planes crew consisted of pilot Hermann Köhl (Germany), and crew Günther Freiherr von Hünefeld (Germany) & James C Fitzmaurice (Ireland).  This unique set of stamps has one stamp issued by Canada Post and a second one printed by the Austria Post office commemorating this historic flight. The Canada  Picture Postage stamp is one of the last ones printed by our post office before it cancelled its picture postage program. The Austrian PO printed a stamp which is based on Canadian stamp issue. Official release date for both stamps is April 13, 2023

NB - Canada Post cancelled its Picture Postage Program and this was one of the last issues printed before the cut off. Extremely low number printed (25!) This means there will be NO RE-PRINTS possible. 

 The Canadian stamp will be listed in the CPPC (Canadian Picture Postage Collectors catalogue:  www   picturepostage - net. The estate of the late Darlene Burt, the webmaster of the picture postage website indicated that they will add new stamps now that the program has come to its end.
