Synopsis: Quicksilver escapes from Magneto long enough to alert the Avengers, but he is recaptured. Dane Whitman recalls the death of his uncle, the villainous Black Knight, as he prepares to become the new Black Knight to fight Magneto himself. But when he meets the Avengers, they attack him, not knowing that this new Black Knight is on their side. Dane Whitman vows to use his uncle's invention for good, and becomes the new Black Knight. Meanwhile, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are held captive by Magneto. Featuring: 1st appearance of Dane Whitman as the Black Knight. The Black Knight Lives Again! Magneto has trapped Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch in Garrett Castle and wants them to re-join The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. The mutants refuse and Quicksilver manages to contact The Avengers. Unfortunately Jarvis is the only one in the mansion as Hawkeye is patrolling New York, Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne are in Las Vegas, Hercules is in Olympus and Captain America quit the team last issue.
