This is an original Kathe Kollwitz 1867-1945 etching, titled “Mutter mit kind auf dem arm” or “Mother with her child
in her arms”. There is a stamp in the lower right corner, AVD Becke, Muenchen22 and believe it’s Alexander Von
dear Becke, who purchased Kollwitz’s plate, who never published this work. The etching is in very good condition,
with the plate marks measuring 4 7/8”x 7 3/8”, behind a double mat in a very clean 16 1/2”x 18 1/2” frame.
