My 5th book, Rails Around Southern Illinois, covers the history of railroading in southern Illinois from the 1830s to present day. 256 pages filled with 650 all-color images including the B&O, C&EI, GM&O, IC, L&N, MP, NYC, PRR/PC/Conrail, Southern, SSW/Cotton Belt, with a few Amtrak shots as well. The PRR/Conrail mainline serves as the northern boundary, with a short excursion north of that limit at the end of the book.
