This is a great primitive 1960s industrial farmhouse pendant light made of galvanized metal with a ribbed sheet metal wrap. It has a 7' cord attached with an on/off switch. It can also be hardwired if that fits your needs better. It measures 9½" tall x 5¾" in diameter across the opening. It has punch holes around the base for letting out heat from the bulb. It has tarnished and can be hung with the current patina or could be polished up to a beautiful shine. This light is
