iOS 12 or above system version have a battery bug which cause IPod Touch 6 gen battery percentage display is not accurate or reliable. There are apps you can download that are more accurate to solve this issue and this issue do not affect the use of the device, just incorrect battery percentage display

When you turn on the iPod the battery indicator goes to red (20% or less) and after a few minutes goes back to ‘normal’ showing a percentage of 80% or less every time even if you charge the iPod to 100% (that will rarely happen because it can say up to 2 hours to pass from 99% to 100%)
