Lot of 6x antique maps of different portions of the Western Front during the First World War. These maps are taken the Harmsworth’s Atlas of the World issued in London in 1920 by Amalgamated Press.

These lovely detailed and coloured maps, some with insert maps and topographic scenes, all measure approximately 24.5cm x 36.5cm and have reverse side overview histories of battles/campaigns, with contextual photographs.

This lot of 6x maps and all in very good condition, and comprise:

Dixmude to Arras / Ypres / The Ypres Hills and the Flanders Marshes – Belgium and France (pages 497-498)

Lens & Arras – scale 1 : 90,000 – France (pages 501-502)

Champagne & Verdun – scale 1 : 700,000 / Verdun District – scale 1 : 216,000 – France (pages 505-506)

Battle of the Ancre / Thiepval to Combles District – France (pages 511-512)

Cambrai and Bourlon Wood – France (pages 515-516)

Western Front (British & German Attacks) – France and Belgium (pages 519-520)

I originally used these all framed as part of a Western Front exhibition for a museum back in 2018, and they would look good again framed again for display.

These 6x maps will be rolled together in plastic sleeve protector and mailed in an A3 mailing tube.

NOTE: postage charge also includes handling fee to cover costs for packing/wrapping materials.
