pocket watch, made for the Italian Railway in Switzerland in 1910. The symbol
on the back shows that this pocket watch is made for the Italian market, see
scan.
Dial: The white enamel dial has
black Roman numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has nice blued hands
and a subsidiary second’s dial at the six. The dial is signed in the upper centre:
“Longines”.
Movement: The anchor lever movement
is in great working condition as it has just been serviced by my watchmaker;
however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch. See service
report as attached; watch just been cleaned and been tested to work within 27
seconds over 26 hours. The movement is signed: “Longines”. The calibre number
is 19.71N.
Case: the watch lies in a nickel
open face case with a smooth finish with an engraved monogram crest and number:
83792. The inner side of the case is numbered: 3758884.
