Description - Photographs, 15 photographs (one loose), photograph album, made in the United Kingdom in about 1890 (photographs 1 to 18). The photograph album has a hardback cover covered in dark green leather on its exterior surfaces, that includes some decorative shapes (photographs 1 to 7). Two decorative metal clasps covered in gold coloured gilt are fitted to the exterior surfaces of the front & back cover, & can be released via a hinge joint to open the pages of the photograph album (photographs 5 & 6). The interior surfaces of the front & back cover display the dark green leather around their edges, which is decorated with a gold coloured gilt pattern (photograph 8). The majority of both these surfaces are covered in a page of white fabric (photograph 8). There are 30 white card pages with rectangular hollow central slots for placing photographs, which are separated from the front & back cover by two white fabric & two white paper pages (photographs 8 to 18). The edges of each page are decorated in gold coloured gilt (photographs 1, 2, 5 & 6), as are the rectangular hollow central slots for the photographs, which are surrounded by gold coloured gilt lines (photographs 9 to 18).
