- clipping back onto itself after looping round the towball

This is a genuine part - not one of the many sub-standard copies available

The hook end which fastens to the bottom of the handbrake can be  compressed - 

- to a closed loop with the use of a portable vice or a set of "mole grips" -

-  be careful - don't trap your fingers - spares are not available! 

- Pliers will NOT do this job !
