From the size and this design of this vesta case I believe it is likely to be Victorian, but without any legible markings I am unable to confirm an exact date.

Brass vesta case with ring for it to be hung from an Albert chain.  The brass has an etched pattern of foliage and flowers with a plain band diagonally along one side where initials could be engraved.  Hinged lid with match striker on the base.   There is lettering around the opening lid of the vesta, but I have not been able to identify the maker.  This can be seen in the photographs.

Hinges intact and working.  Marks, wear, rust and dents to vesta.  Lid does not close entirely flush.
