Vespa P200E 1978

Vespa P200E. Vespa P series was the last of the "classic" Vespas to come out of Piaggio's factories. though certainly not the most elegant styling, the P-series Vespas are probably the sturdiest models. In the mid-70s the basic Vespa design had been refined almost as far as it was able to go. The P200E had an electronic ignition and a 4-speed manual twist-grip shifter, and, at 10 HP, it was good for a 60 MPH top speed. Production of the PX series ended in 2007 having lasted for 30 years. In its heyday the P200E was "the" scooter to go for in the United Kingdom if you favoured the scooter rally scene. Its relability meant you could depend on actually getting to the seafront gatherings. What it lacked in styling against its Lambretta counterparts it more than made up for in performance and reliability.
