original mounting bolts with new ones supplied in the kit designed for the gas
strut. Once the support cable is reinstalled, your tailgate will latch tightly
in place with no clearance issues or difficulty. Dee Zee has tested and
developed the gas strut and related components to heavy duty specifications to
ensure many years of smooth operation, even in the most extreme of temperatures
