We are offering a letter, dated October 22, 1900, from the president of Planet Manufacturing Co., Springfield, Massachusetts with the envelope in which it was mailed.  The company manufactured Horse Feed Bags, Halters, Horse & Wagon Covers, Coal Bags, Leather Dust Beaters, and other leather and canvas articles.  The letter is to J. B. Bryant, Weston, Vermont, apparently a vendor from whom Planet bought materials for the manufacture of their products.  The writer is asking him to hurry and send 500 or 1000 of the 8 in. "bottoms".  [We assume the bottoms of the bags were leather, which were made somewhere else and would be incorporated into their final products.]  He states they don't have enough bottoms to fill the orders they already have.  He says, "When you have made that amount, make 1000 to 2000 more as quickly as you can...,..."  Signed R. R. Moody, Pres. & Gen'l. Mgr.
