1950S LEATHER FIRST NATION OJIBWA NATIVE AMERICAN ART

TRADITIONAL OJIBWAY TRIBAL GLOVES WITH FLORAL BEAD DETAILING

Originating from the Ojibwe (Ojibwa) people from what is currently Southern Canada and the North Mid-Western United States.

Handmade from smoked moose leather and red felt and fur trimmed.

Hand-beaded by an Ojibway artist in the floral style typical of the classic Eastern Woodlands style.

They are in excellent vintage condition, lightly worn, if at all.

Measuring 33cm long x 15cm wide and extending to 20cm wide at the fur trim.

Although I would imagine they will be bought by a collector or as a decorative piece they easily fit my hands which I would say are an average man’s size but I think could be worn by anyone for the purpose of keeping their hands worn.
