One Owner with fascinating story about watch. This watch is a 1950's Gruen Curvex with Speidel Band also from the 1950's. Disclaimer, I am not an expert other than knowing the owner.

1. Speidel Stretch-Band shows patent numbers 2826900 & 2515817. The band also has engraved 1/20 10K Gold Filled.

2. The back watch case shows Gruen 1/20 10K Gold Filled. The inside of the case shows the description and Watchmakers marks.

3. The watch face has a small mark to the right of the number 12. This mark does not take away from this excellent watch. It winds easily and is accurate according to the Watchmaker that just checked it recently.

4. The inside case shows Cased and Timed in the USA, 10K Gold Filled L&K, 370-642. It has 3 sets of numbers B667042, B687042 and B55440.

HISTORY: This watch was purchased in the 1950's. This watch was owned by one owner who only wore it on Saturday's. This occurred in the 1970's. The reason why it was only worn on Saturday is because everyone thought he was going to church with his wife but he was actually going to OTB (Off Track Betting) in NYC. He kept it in his sock drawer and never took it out until Saturday. Everyone knew he was going to OTB instead of church because he smelled like a cigar when he came home, plus he had a pocket full of losing tickets. I know this story to be true is because he was my father.
