    • ABOUT Frank Maessig: Frank Maessig was born in Chemnitz in 1955. In 1979 Maessig, after several applications to leave the country, escaped from the republic and was imprisoned by the Stasi, was expatriated to the Federal Republic of Germany and has been living in Giessen ever since. Frank Maessig has been intensively involved with painting for many years. His graphic editions, primarily screen prints, appear at regular intervals and always in small editions. The printing is done by the same printer who has also worked on graphics with great artists such as Jörg Immendorf and Markus Lüpertz. Maessig himself has already organized a large number of exhibitions at which he has presented his works. Frank Maessig has been the frontman of a band for 34 years and tours with it through German-speaking countries.
