Produced in 1967 by R.G. Laughlin, these cards are the prototypes of the actual sets 
that were produced and distributed by Fleer in 1968 /1970 / 1971. (see ad / photo above)

Also, Laughlin's ad in the June 1970 issue of the 'Trader Speaks' states that only 300 of these 
scarce 'black and white' sets were produced and were sold to the public by mail order only. 

There are two variations of this set. With and Without the send-away address on the reverse.  In 1974, 1200 sets were produced Without the send-away address.
