The graduated base, with independent locking facilities permits perfect panoramic photography.  The design of the panoramic base permits the ball head to be used for table top or near ground level work without the use of a tripod.

A QR plate with secondary safety lock and the option of a Long Plate provide additional flexibility; the camera can be removed from the head within seconds and fitted back on the head as easily.
