High Performance (RED) UMX Turbo Timber / Timber / Cessna 182 Prop

10 pack

After owning a UMX timber and having a couple crashes I realized I needed a better solution for these expensive prop adapters so I decided to design and print them myself. I did not want to buy an aluminum adapter because I wanted this part to be the failure point. The aluminum adapter with simply put the harsh forces of a crash onto another more expensive component like the motor motor mount or foam fuselage. By purposely making this the failure point we can save components that are much more difficult to change the more expensive. This adapter is machined to the correct diameter so it is concentric with the propeller and runs with minimal vibrations. I’ve logged about five flight hours using this part on my UMX timber. I have also sold about 280 of these parts so far.

Upon purchasing you will receive 10 of these adapters what you see in the pictures is exactly what you receive. If you have any questions feel free to message me

The lathe and tooling pictured in the last picture is not included this is simply a step in the production process.

Installation and assembly.

Upon installing onto the airplane it will easily slide over the motor and self locate for the three holes where it is bolted onto the motor. On the end that connects the propeller it is a snug fit and most likely may require a small amount of sanding depending upon the desired fit you want. The screw hole may need to be cleaned up with a drill bit however on mine I’ve never had to do this. I prefer having a tighter fit, it’s really more of a personal preference but it’s something that the buyer should be made aware of. Also if you run the screw into the adapter before you put it onto the motor and then unscrew it and then re-screw it in it is much easier because the screw will cut its own threads into the plastic I would recommend trying this before you installed on the motor.
