  • Design:White lucky cat(Maneki Neko) with right hand raised
  • Material:Ceramics

Description:

  • The "SETO Maneki Neko", which features a slender hunchback just like a real cat, was born in late 1800s by applying the European plaster mold technique used to manufacture ornamental figurines (SETO novelties) for overseas markets.
  • A raised right hand signifies money, while a left hand entices customers to a business.
  • The ribbon attached to the neck is a proof of the history that it has been useful as a celebratory item. Also makes a great gift.
  • There is a different color of black with left hand raised.
*Although all products are carefully painted one by one by craftsmen, color unevenness etc. will inevitably occur during the production process, and slight individual differences will occur.

*SETO ware: The world's leading high-quality, white-fired pottery clay produces ceramics with beautiful glazes and paintings. It is a rare production area in Japan where both pottery and porcelain are fired.
