The BP17 is a fully balanced preamp from input to output.  Each channel is kept completely independent from the other until the output where they are combined to cancel any noise or interference.  The result is a very hi-end sound with great channel separation,  clarity and openness.   

Bryston uses more expensive input relays for a cleaner connection as opposed to many other manufactures using chip based switching.  Analog and digital circuitry has separate power supplies for isolation of high frequency and audio band signals that can add noise and diminish clarity.

This is a one owner preamp used in a non-smoking home.  Its repacked in the original box with all original accys to arrive like new.
