Constable, original edition BUT a very poor cover. Damped on the front with marks, back is clear but the red cloth has bled on to a few early pages fore & aft. Page edges are grubby. Boards are a little bowed & corners bumped. Surprisingly enough, the text block is in far better condition although the paper is not of the best & quite thick. 348pps, (the text was not completely finished when the author tragically died in his early 40's) 16pp publisher advertisement cata at the rear.
Sold by an independent and solo ex-bookshop owner, with around 50 years of experience, who takes pride in listing and researching every volume. Someone who does not consider books as mere square objects with printing inside, fixed only on selling in high quantities as quickly as possible, but one who takes deep interest not only in the book itself, but also, where possible, its history. No "maybes" or "may not contain"s, well packed for protection & never sent in wrappers only suitable for newspapers
