Object: Rectangular Arita plate from the mid- to late Edo period (1780-1820), decorated in underglaze blue.


Decoration: A river scene, with a fisherman in a boat.


Size: 20 x 12 cm (8 x 5").

Marks: Undecipherable mark in Japanese kanji characters (underglaze blue; seal script).

State: Excellent - no cracks, chips or repairs.
