HISTORY OF RAILWAYS

Seen here an unusual railway vehicle which ran for short periods in Ulster. Rail-bus No 3 of the BNCR was a converted road vehicle, an AEC petrol omnibus of 1920 which for the first six months of 1924 operated a rail service between Coleraine and Portrush, in the north of the province. It was scrapped the following year.
