SARAH CURLEY Sterling Silver & Turquoise Full Bolo Tie NAVAJO 35.2x32.6mm 925

Another great estate find, we've been coming across a lot of awesome vintage Native American pieces!  This is a beautiful sterling silver bolo clip by Navajo silversmith Sarah Curley, with braided leather tie and unmarked sterling end crimps.

Bolo clip is trapezoid in shape, measuring 35.2mm by 32.6mm, and features a stunningly detailed silver feather in the middle, surrounded by vines, berries, a blossom, and in two corners, turquoise cabochon.  This entire design is bordered with a rope textured silver wire, with decorative stamping on the edges for that little bit of extra detail.

The upper right cab is oval in shape, and is about 11.4mm by 7.9mm.  The other one, in the bottom left, is more a freeform shape, and is approximately 9.8mm by 7.8mm.  The backside is stamped "STERLING" and "SC", which is the mark attributed to Sarah Curley, and the feather and blossom design matches known pieces by her.

The end crimps aren't marked in any way, so I'm not sure if they are made by the artist or just made by another person in bulk to contribute to completed pieces.  They did test as sterling silver though.  They measure approximately 56mm long with a 7.15mm diameter at the crimp point.

Overall with the crimps, the bolo tie is about 35" long.  It's wearable as it is, but the braided leather is aged and it is pretty easy to replace with a material or different color that you like better if you decide to.
