Cambridge STC♥E 2010 is a bold traditional pot still rum from the Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica. The STC♥E marque (Simon Thompson Cambridge Estate) and recipe hails from the Cambridge Distillery in Trelawny Parish which closed in 1947 but has lived on after being absorbed by Long Pond.
The Continental Flavoured style is one of the four classifications used in Jamaica. It identifies rums with a very high concentration of flavours (550 - 1600 gr/hlpa of esters), traditional production techniques and long, natural fermentation. This style has been prized by blenders for over a century.
Cambridge 2010 is tropically aged for 12 years and showcases intense, funky aromas and salted caramel and flambéed banana notes, which develop into juicy pineapple, crème brûlée and walnut. Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
