A wonderful 1950’s hardcover Betty Crocker cookbook. Packed with amusing "period" illustrations, great photos and delicious (yes...really) recipes.

Marjorie Husted, an American home economist working for General Mills, was responsible for the success and fame of the brand character Betty Crocker. Husted's original ideas and hard work transformed Betty Crocker, in the words of author Laura Shapiro, into "the most successful culinary authority ever invented." (Wikipedia).

• The cover and back have minor wear from handling and age. The folkloric Pennsylvania-Dutch art inspired cover and back have good red color. There are minor wear marks at the corners. The spine shows wear on the top and bottom and its red color has faded to light coral.

• There are no handwritten notes or dog-eared pages.
