This holster is designed for a LEFT-HANDED draw.

These 6004 tactical holsters feature the Self-Locking System (SLS) rotating hood, well suited for tactical situations. With no snap, the SLS allows for a smoother single-motion draw and greater protection against attempted weapon takeaways. The Hood Guard is included. A molded sight track and soft suede protect the gun's sights and finish. It features a double leg strap and leg shroud. The STX Tactical finish is tough, protecting the gun in scrape, scratch and dent incidents.

The Safariland Model 6004 Tactical holster is built for comfort as well as functionality. This Tactical holster features the Self-Locking System (SLS) rotating hood system which is so well suited for the tactical situations encountered today. The hood on the Model 6004 holster can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward and actually becomes more secure when upward force is applied. The STX Tactical finish of the holster is rugged, protecting the gun in scrape, scratch and dent incidents. Molded sight track and soft SafariSuede protect the gun's sights and finish. A special feature of the Model 6004 is the double leg strap and the leg shroud. These two features combined equal comfort and stability in the holster position on the leg.

Most holsters I sell are molded from the exact model mold which makes errors nonexistent. If you are buying a new or good condition all LEATHER holster from me, it will need breaking in. Different brands require more break in than others. Breaking in a good leather holster is mandatory for it to function; when it is new you may not be able to draw the firearm from it as quickly as you might need it. After you have checked the holster for suitability and broken it in correctly, then you can bet your life that it will hold the gun securely, protect the gun from inadvertent access, and allow you to get the gun quickly when you need it. There are plenty of articles online for breaking in a leather holster. I get many messages about the thumb snap (if applicable). The thumb snap is difficult to get snapped on many holsters when you first get it. You have to work leather. Bottom line, if you get it and it is not fitting the high percentage of time is that you have not seated it fully or worked it fully. One method I enjoy is wrapping the pistol, unloaded, in a plastic wrap or bag and stuffing that into the holster overnight or for a few days. 

If you are purchasing a holster, please make sure you have a proper gun belt. All holsters should be worn with a proper gun belt. Also, all holsters should be worn with the belt fully tightened, but not uncomfortable. Never wear your holster loose, sagging pants, or without a proper gun belt.
