RAF's Temperate Land Scheme used Dark Green/Dark Earth on upper surfaces and Sky on under surfaces during the early years of WWII. Its creation during the pre-war years is rooted in the BS 381C. Following moves made in the paint industry in the early years of the 20th century, the first range of standardized paint colors was published in 1930. After an early revision this became known as BS 381C

This British Standard formed the greater part of the limited palette of paint colors available from most paint manufacturers throughout the next twenty years, up to the 50s,  WWII how ever put an end to the production of all but a very small selection of colors for specific purposes including camouflage and the decoration of War Department buildings. Among the remaining ones, colors 241 (Dark Green), 350 (Dark Earth) and 101 (Sky Blue) / 210 (Sky) or 216 (Eau-De-Nil) were used during the first years of WWII,

This a new made paint of original (British  paint) RAF and  RAAF  (Azure) or sky blue Flat paint in a handy 100ml bottle
I have copied the original colour as close as i can  from a original samples .
Each paint maker/supplier had there own code for making Azure colour
and there are many variations of shades.even with my own collection of Australian military items there are different shades of the same paint,

 


Paint is made by a British paint, an original maker for military colours.so it is the best match I can get
Paint is 4 seasons acrylic Flat exterior, UV protection, self priming.mould resistant, and should last 15 years and is water based, so it is easy to thin for spraying and clean up is easy just use water,,no thinners is needed & touch dry in 30 Min ,(thinners can be used I was told by a customer)
bottles are plastic with a screw cap, 100ml and are perfect for small jobs like a helmet or two. ammo box   other small military items
