This is an antique novel entitled "The Story of an African Farm" by Ralph Iron.

 

The cover is quarter bound with tan and printed floral paper with gold stamped lettering on the spine.

It was published in 1867 by Harper & Brothers, Publishers,  of New York and is a first edition.

Condition: There is some discoloration on the cover and fraying on the top and bottom edge of the spine and corners of the covers. In 1897, the previous owner, A. James Sherman, wrote his name on the cover page.
