Handmade vintage dolls from Guatemala and South America
These belonged to a close friend whose grandmother traveled the world and brought back dolls and treasures.
Over the years, I was given these to take care of, now it's time to pass them on.

Man stands on a wooden disk stamped " made in Guatemala". I believe the woman is from Bolivia, because of the bowler hat and costume, but I could be mistaken.

Man is wire frame wrapped in paper,  cloth and yarn for clothing, hand stitched fabric designs and facial features, and hand made wrapped bundle on his back which he holds with his arms crossed in front by its yarn straps. Hand made wicker hat and small bag on his back. These are from late 1950s or early 1960s according to the travel diaries of my friend's grandmother.

Woman is fabric and felt wrapped wire base, with felt skirt, black shoes, head scarf and felt bowler hat. Her hair is in perfect condition under her scarf. Handstitched facial features.
Beautiful details including stockings and underwear!

Please see pictures for condition- these have been on display in various cabinets over the years, and the lady's skirt and white apron are a little faded, but otherwise in very good condition.
