We’ve been selling karaoke since 1988. That’s a long time! When I wanted to put my business phone number in the Yellow Pages the “karaoke” category did not even exist. I had to list the business under “Musical Accompaniment”. I’ve seen a lot of changes in these three decades. The formats that we have used to listen to our music has gone from cassette tapes and Laser Discs to Compact Discs w/Graphics, MP3+G and digital downloads. The good news for those that still have a karaoke cd+g player is that we still have thousands of discs still available, many of them are rare and hard-to-find, such as this one.
This is indeed a unique offering of the songs from Jackson Browne, a 'founding father' of the country rock genre of music. We might be familiar with the some of his top forty hits like "Somebody's Baby", "Tender Is The Night". and "In The Shape Of A Heart" but this disc features some hard to find album tracks as well. Notice the songs that are included, the eighteen listed below. "Stay" is a great remake of the 50's hit written by Maurice Williams. Here the Jackson Browne version features a duet that originally had the late, great David Lindley singing the falsetto part and also featured Mr. Lindley's great guitar work. This karaoke re-recording definitely gives the song justice. Along with "Pretender", "Here Come Those Tears Again", "Running On Empty" and "Boulevard", to name a few you will find this disc to cover most of your favorite songs from Jackson Browne.
