This is a 1951 Austin K9 light vehicle, originally used as a signals van for the Army.
This is a very original machine. Even the side covers and apertures for the antennae are still in place. It is powered by an Austin 6 cylinder engine of 3 litres capacity. It runs as sweet as a nut and the transmission still has full 4WD capability.
It has spent most of its life unused. The total mileage since new is believed to be in the region of 10,000 miles. It still has its military paintwork, original interior and bodywork complete with military spec lugged tyres.
We have used it as a people carrier around the farm, hence it's been fitted with neat steps at the rear. These are easily removed.
It comes with a V5 and is licensed for the road use at no cost.
