This beautiful Peking Glass Ring in excellent condition was purchased from a warehouse in 1991. What an awesome color! It had never been used and had been in storage since the 1930’s. These rings were primarily used to embellish the Chinese-made wicker and bamboo sewing baskets in vogue at the time. The date of manufacture of these sewing baskets was in the 1920’s and 1930’s. The larger rings, such as this one, were also worn as a bangle bracelet. This ring/bracelet would definitely be for a person with a large hand and wrist.
This cornflower blue ring measures 3 5/8 for outside dimension and 3” for inside dimension. The box that the ring originally came in is still with it, but falling apart due to its age. It will be sent along with the ring when purchased.
