Here is an interesting figural pewter pounce pot.  As you can see it is modelled as an ancient Greek or Roman woman.  I would date the pounce pot to the early 19th century and probably of English origin.

Standing just under 5 inches high.

There is a slight dent to the top, commensurate with and use.

I can confirm the screw stopper to the base is in good working order.
