*Pavarotti’s “O Holy Night”*

Luciano Pavarotti’s “O Holy Night” is considered one of his greatest albums. Included in its ten tracks are some of Pavarotti’s most beloved works, leading off with his classic version of the titular “O Holy Night” (“Cantique Noël”). Pavarotti also performs Franz Schubert's "Ave Maria," César Franck’s "Panis Angelicus," and Pietro Yon’s “Gesù Bambino,” among classic pieces.

The full track list is as follows:

*O Holy Night Recording*

“O Holy Night,” released on London Records, was recorded with conductor Kurt Herbert Adler leading   the National Philharmonic. In addition to giving insight into the recording, Jon Perrin’s extensive notes (on the back of the sleeve) also provide a good picture of Adler. The album further includes the original text sheet, providing lyrics to all the songs, along with helpful translations. See pictures for further info.

*This Copy Was Signed And Dated In 1982*

This copy of the LP was signed and dated by Pavarotti in 1982. He has written, in his own hand, “A Suzy cordialmente Luciano Pavarotti ’82.” This translates into, “To Suzy, Cordially, Luciano Pavarotti ’82.” Note, however, that Pavarotti appears to have misspelled “cordialmente” in his haste; it looks like “coramente,” which isn’t an actual word in Italian. Such an error only adds to the authenticity of the piece, of course.

*Album Placed Under Glass*

The album may have been placed under glass very soon after being signed and dated by Pavarotti. It is framed. It is enclosed in its original sleeve. The wire from which it was hung is still attached to the back, in fact. Its overall condition is thus very good.

A signed and dated copy of “O Holy Night” under glass would be a great gift for an opera fan, a music collector, or a décor aficionado. Don’t miss this opportunity to own a piece of opera musical history.
