I have had enamel hot water cans, toleware ones, and brass and copper ones and this is probably the nicest example that I have ever had. I think that it is really nice that it is marked with hot water in black script to the top of the can.

The capacity of the can is just over two pints. The total height of the can up to the handle on the top is 18 inches or 20 centimeters tall. The total length of the can from the end of the spout to the back of the handle is 10 inches or just under 26 cm. The body of the can is 9.5 centimeters wide or 3.75 in by 14.5 cm long or five inches and 5/8.

There is obvious age related losses to some of the toleware decoration. But you would expect this considering it was a usable item in the Victorian times.
