This beautiful necklace features an Abalone shell pendant. The necklace is reversible. The pendant shows a rainbow of blues and greens on 1 side and a rainbow of pinks, greens, and purples on the other. It will become a favorite in your jewelry box because you will be able to wear it with so many outfits.

The necklace itself is 20" long. The pendant is 2 1/2" long, including the bail.

The bail is 1/2". The small chain at the neckline is not an extender. Fastening the clasp into these links makes the pendant fall wonky because it is no longer centered.

The silver tone metal does tarnish. It did not test as sterling silver. The base metal tested as nickel. My best guess would be silver plate over nickel.

Since abalone is so frail, the abalone beads in the necklace are doublets. That means that they are two thin pieces of abalone attached on both sides of a stabilizing material. Due to the nature of Abalone, the edges of the beads, as well as the surface of some of the abalone stones, show some irregularities. See photos for condition details.
