Head Bolts are designed to stretch and allow the cylinders to be removed without removing the entire engine.
Installation Tips:
- Hammer the center punch in the middle of the broken bolt.
- Use a left-handed drill bit to create a pilot hole, and switch to an extraction bit.
- Reverse-drill slowly to remove a broken bolt.
- Remove any metal shavings left behind by the broken bolt using a magnet.
