The container measures about 4.8” ~ 12cm around x about 1.2” ~ 3cm tall. Each coaster measures about 4.8” ~ 12cm around.
This set of 6 coasters with their holder is sleek and fabulous! It had only one owner.
WHAT IS "SON-MAI" - VIETNAMESE LACQUER:
1. Son-Mai or Vietnamese Lacquer represents a quintessential facet of Vietnam's extraordinary traditional artistry.
2. Each Son-Mai piece is a unique treasure, born out of intricate craftsmanship and the high expertise of our artisans.

Each Lacquer artwork is the result of meticulous handcrafting by
skilled artisans. From hand-carved wood sculptures to the application of
natural lacquer sap, colors are then sanded up to 35-50 layers. This
painstaking process can take between 6 to 10 weeks, and even longer for
larger, complex pieces.
4. The longevity of each piece, especially
its color, can span centuries. Most of the materials used in crafting a
Lacquer piece is sourced naturally, promoting environmental and
user-friendliness.
5. While honoring tradition, we
innovate, creating unique Lacquer techniques and patterns that are
inimitable. Our Chief Artist was awarded as Vietnam National Artist and
many other international prestigious awards and titles.
6. Every
product is an authentic work of art. Given the uniqueness of Lacquer,
our pieces, and collections are produced in very limited quantities,
many are spontaneous color combinations by our artists, completely
unique and non-reproducible.
