The Geha company was founded in 1918's by the two brothers
Heinrich and Conrad Hartmann.
A contraction of this name "Gebrüder Hartmann" gave rise to the trademark "GeHa"
which became the official title of the firm.
Geha started to produce fountain pens in the 1950's and invented
the "ink reserve tank": a tube filled with ink which
could be released when the main ink reservoir
was empty by pressing a small pin under the feed.
In the 1970's Geha Schoolpens, together with those of Pelikan,
were the most popular pens in Germany.
The firm was taken over by Pelikan in 1989's.
