This sign was special ordered by V.W.O.A. to hang in the lobby of New Jersey headquarters during the 1970's .
It was on display for less than a week when VW management decided it looked to much like a war sign.
I worked for the VW Northwest Zone distributor at the time, I bought this sign directly from the sign maker upon its return. I have owned it since, it hung on display in my office , no smoke !
I am or have been an avid Volkswagen collector, retired last year. I am thinning down after 45 plus years of collecting.
I have sold majority of my signs and other smalls this last year. This piece was the ultimate in my VW collection.
