Rare Art Deco Club chair H-282 designed by Jindrich Halabala ''30s and manufactured in UP Závody Brno ( the same as the famous H-269 armchair ).


Chair has been completely restored and reupholstered in a fluffy/cosy fabric. New cushion seat, new cover all over. The springs are original in great condition.

Jindrich Halabala was one of the most celebrated Czech furniture designers of the 20th century, Halabala worked as head designer for the United Arts and Crafts manufacturing company (UP) in Brno between 1930 and 1946.


He was a significant advocate of modernist, industrially manufactured furniture in Czechoslovakia and had a tremendous influence on the interior design of many interwar and postwar Czech homes.


Furniture attributable to Jindrich Halabala are much sought after today.


His designs can be found in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Museum of Art in Olomouc and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam
