This listing is for a very interesting, one-off, custom-made pair of bookends. This bronze sculpture was cast by my friend Greg Nelson when he attended an art school back in 1998. He is suffering from a rare terminal disease so I agreed to sell this artwork for him here on eBay. The proceeds of this sale will be donated to him.
Greg used a 1/25 scale plastic model kit of a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria as a pattern for this creation. This gem is very unusual because of the way Greg split the model at an angle of about 35 degrees. I can not recall ever seeing a pair of bookends split at any angle before.
These are not hollow castings but are solid so they are relatively heavy. The front of the car casting weighs over 8 pounds while the rear of the car casting weighs over 6 pounds.
