The doll is from the late Edo period, and the figure is Sen no Rikyu. The eyes are painted.

There are color additions on the top of the head (see the last image).

There is a very fine crack in the gofun between the eyebrows (see the close-up image of the face).

There is strain on the black edge of the collar (see the 7th and 12th images from the top).
