Devised by Rudolf Diesel in 1892, based on the Carnot Cycle theory, the Diesel engine relies on compression of the air and fuel in the chamber to create heat enough to ignite the mixture and drive the motor.


   The recommended fuel for Control-Line and RC Model Diesel engines, generally comprises of Diethyl Ether, Castor oil and Kerosene, in various amounts. Other ingredients that are commonly used by enthusiasts, including Paraffin, IPN (Isopropyl Nitrate) and basic Engine Oil.
