When I first acquired this receiver it was in excellent near mint condition and sounded wonderful. Tested it and everything works as designed.
It did not come with a remote control. I have a genuine Denon RC-1015 remote control that controls the entire receiver perfeclty. Comes with brand new alkaline batteries.
