We are very pleased to present this striking UK Quad Poster, on linen, for the iconic British crime drama, 'Get Carter', starring Michael Caine, Ian Hendry, John Osborne and Britt Ekland. 

Designed by Italian artist,  Arnaldo Putzu, this poster boldly and unapologetically blends elements of 1960s' tie-dyed psychedelia with a collage of evocative British Gangster motifs to artistically postulate the theme that the starker and more violent realities of the emerging 1970s would overwhelm the flower-power pretensions of the previous decade - both in the real world and in the film.

Widely regarded as one of Michael Caine's most memorable movies, 'Get Carter' received mixed reviews upon its initial release in the UK. Some homegrown critics and a significant percentage of  British audiences resented Carter's remorseless violence and general amorality. American critics were much more willing to embrace an anti-hero and generally gave the film positive reviews.

More recently, due to praise from iconic directors like Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie, 'Get Carter' has enjoyed a renaissance of appreciation and a broad critical re-evaluation. In 1999, 'Get Carter' was ranked 16th in the 'BFI Top 100 British Films of The 20th Century'. A later poll of British Film Critics for 'Total Film' magazine actually ranked it as 'The Greatest British Film of All Time'!

This supremely collectable, linen-backed, 'Get Carter' UK Quad poster has been minimally touched up on the fold-lines and pinholes in each corner but, overall, remains in 'very fine' condition.
